K_i_ša_ _started in 2019 as an instrumental project where a bunch of musicians gave shape and depth to compo¬sitions that soon led to some kind of dark songwriting, blessed with a multilingual approach.
The sound is seductive, rarefied yet steady, brutal at times, turning into a musical tale that leads the listener through a twisty and elegant maze.
A river of notes claiming their ferryman: this is the way Kiša choose to make their voice heard. Words and music dance together, and set the stage for a melancholic rock waltz within the walls of a richly decorated, decadent living room, a remote place of the soul crowded with nostalgia, where «all those moments lost in time» are remembered, «like tears in the rain.»
The inspiration comes from the so-called “Desert Rock”, inextricably linked to Post-Punk, Goth Rock, Cold¬wave, Noise, and Drone Music, resulting in a nuanced and layered sonic work. The lyrics, gifted with the haiku’s sincerity and floating, are imbued with the sweet bitterness that one feels when chasing after what has been and is no more, what is gone, lost, or let go fatefully from oneself.

Kiša
Progetto che nasce nel 2019 da musicisti che danno forma e sostanza a composizioni
strumentali. Sonorità articolate, sensuali, rarefatte eppure decise e talvolta brutali.
Un racconto musicale che fin da subito conduce in un labirinto tortuoso ed elegante.
Un fiume di note che ha bisogno di un traghettatore, così i Kiša decidono di far udire la loro voce.
Le parole danzano con la musica e mettono in scena un malinconico valzer rock tra le mura di un
bellissimo salone decadente. Luogo lontano e colmo di nostalgia dove si ricordano tutti quei
momenti perduti nel tempo.
L’ispirazione arriva decisamente dal desert rock, ma si percepiscono anche omaggi all’
alternative country rock e al Tex-Mex. Nella post-produzione l’ascolto rimanda al post-punk e
goth rock, ma anche alla coldwave. Ensemble di chitarre, basso e batteria sapientemente
accompagnato da un bordone sonoro elettronico che stratifica e lega indissolubilmente ogni
passaggio. Le parti vocali arrivano inaspettate come un arcobaleno dopo un temporale. I testi,
semplici e sinceri come un haiku, sono intrisi di quella dolce amarezza che si prova rincorrendo
ciò che è stato e che si è perso o semplicemente si è lasciato andare via, lontano da sé.
